Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Order Sweet And Sour Chicken At A Chinese Restaurant

Wicker and Wilde both love sweet and sour chicken!  But we just read that mabye we should rethink our next Chinese take-out order.  It's important to note that it’s really an American invention. That being said, there’s a version in China, but it’s super different than what is served here. Their sauce – sugar and vinegar. Ours? Soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup and sugar.

Why should you care? Well, most of us are worried about our waistline...(especially after gaining the Quarantine 15)....our version has 81 grams of sugar translates to ‘junk food’ territory. So if it’s once in a while? Sure, no one will smack ya...but if staying healthy is your game...either make it at home (where you can control the calorie count) or skip it. we're both hungry for sweet and sour chicken.
