The List Of Recalled Hand-Sanitizers Is Now Up To 75
July 23, 2020

This list of hand sanitizers being recalled is up to 75 and they're sold at grocery stores, BJ's, Costco, Walmart and a few others. They all seem to be coming from Mexico and instead of containing ethanol, they contain methanol, a wood alcohol, which when absorbed through your skin (or Heaven forbid ingested) can make you extremely sick, cause permanent blindness and can even cause death.
Some of the brands include:
- Blumen products
- Klar and Danver Instant Hand Sanitizer (labeled with Greenbrier International)
- Modesa Instant Hand Sanitizer Moisturizers and Vitamin E
- Hello Kitty by Sanrio Hand Sanitizer
- Assured Aloe
See the FULL LIST from the FDA and make sure you double-check what you are buying. In the meantime it's recommended that wash our hands to stay germ-free and use safe hand-sanitizer only if soap and water are not available.
