RAL Pet Of The Day

July 31, 2018

Vilma has been in foster care a few weeks now recovering from surgery and heartworm treatment. She will be available to go to her forever home very soon, but we are taking applications now! Vilma can be a little shy at first but really loves to be around people and is a very sweet girl. After a seemingly rough life before coming to RAL, Vilma is now relishing the life of being an indoor dog while in foster. She does great with other dogs and ignores the cats. After a week, she learned what toys were and started chewing on nylabones and runs around chasing after balls when you throw them to her. Then she has to find all the balls again under the bed. All of these things are clearly very new to her and she's still learning the ways of living inside a true home, which is where she belongs!

She has learned so much though from her foster doggie sisters and brother and would potentially benefit from another dog or two in her forever home so she can continue to learn from them. A fenced backyard would be great, too. Most importantly, she needs a kind and patient owner who will shower her with the attention and love she craves. Vilma is just a total sweetheart and seeks out comfy blankets and dog beds and wants to be near her people at all times. You can't help but fall in love with her sweet little face.

You can fill out an online application at www.ral.org or email [email protected] to see how you can be the first to apply for Vilma and arrange a time to meet her in person!
