Meet Clayton! Clayton is a one-year-old English pointer mix who weighs about 50 pounds. He came to us from Powhatan animal control where he was picked up as a stray. Clayton still has some puppy energy, so he's looking for a forever family that will take him on long walks, then give him lots of good treats and cuddle up on the couch with him. Because he's a bit high-energy, we'd recommend a home without small children who may get knocked over by him when he gets excited. This sweet boy gets along with other dogs and is a fast learner. He wants nothing more than to be told he's a very good boy! Because Clayton was a stray and is so young, he is still working on his manners, including potty training and crate training. However, a dedicated family could teach him in no time!
