Consider adopting Lucy from C.A.R.E. today!

"For a year old dog, Lucy already has quite a history, and sadly that history is one of people letting her down. Her story, that we can confirm, starts just a few weeks ago in a shelter in Raleigh, NC where she was adopted to young woman, who then gave her away to her sister here in VA, who then dumped her in another shelter.

Lucy is a darling mixed breed, probably primarily chihuahua, but at 20 pounds clearly mixed with something else. She is a nice dog who loves people and other dogs her size. Until Lucy settles in and is given initial obedience training, she is probably best suited to homes without young children and smaller animals. It appears that Lucy has had the distinct disadvantage of being owned and adopted by people who have little understanding of the needs of animals. We are happy to serve Lucy and will work hard to find this healthy little dog a perfect home with humans who promise not to let her down. She is spayed and microchipped, up to date with vaccines, and tested negative for heartworms.

Come meet Lucy and our other available dogs on Sunday at our adoption stand. We will be at the Petco at Swift Creek, 13329 Rittenhouse Drive, Midlothian, VA, 11am-2pm. More information, see our website http://www.carerva.com

Please SHARE to help Lucy find a home."
