Interview with Donnette Smith, president of Mended Hearts
"National Women’s Health Week (May 12-18) is a good time to talk about the heart condition that’s commonly misdiagnosed as anxiety and panic attacks. PSVT (Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia) is a heart arrhythmia that can happen anytime. Common symptoms include: rapid pulse, chest pressure or pain, shortness of breath, anxiety, lightheadedness or dizziness, fainting, or sudden onset of fatigue and it affects nearly 1.7 million Americans – though it’s likely more common than the number of people diagnosed as many individuals go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed."
