A word from YardWorks Food Bank:

"We feel very blessed and grateful to be allowed to continue servicing the community under the guidelines of the Governor’s directions.  We also feel a huge responsibility to maintain social distancing and place the most stringent guidelines on cleaning and sanitizing (please go to our website at www.yardworksva.com to learn more about all the things we are doing to stay safe as possible).

We are painfully aware that many of our neighbors, friends and community members are not in the same position. Our associates have discussed several ways we can support those who are not able to work right now.  We have talked to the area food banks and they are very grateful for any help during this difficult time. We have decided to concentrate our efforts and energy on supporting their mission. They said their inventories are ok right now but do anticipate shortages in the near future as requests for their help are beginning to increase.

Starting Thursday March 26th, we will be accepting non-perishable and perishable non refrigerated foods at our sites.  We will also be accepting cash donations on behalf of the foodbanks as well. We will be placing a non-touch box for donations in each of our area locations.  We have sites in Williamsburg, 2 in Chesterfield, Broad Street in Goochland, Patterson Ave, Zion Crossroads and one in Hanover across the street from the Hanover High.  Our biggest fear is that in trying to help the community, we will somehow unknowingly spread the virus as well. We ask that to minimize contact, you place any donations in the box and don’t hand them to our associates.  There will be a box for cash donations and for food items.

We feel that giving back and being part of the community are big reasons our business is strong and growing.  Along with the countless sponsorships and organizations we support, we feel this is something specific we can do to really help our least fortunate and most vulnerable.  Please help us make a difference, come see us and drop by a few cans, loaf of bread whatever might be in your pantry or your heart.

THANK YOU VERY MULCH!"
