I cannot believe this happened...

"Come on people! Officers reporting to work this fine Saturday morning discovered that two of our ACO trucks had been vandalized with both windshields and driver’s side door windows smashed. --------
Honestly! I want to say swears but will keep this pc--. We are a small department with a limited fleet of trucks and a tiny budget. Needless destruction like this sets us back and is a waste of time and money for RACC. Our City security team is pulling footage to see if we can define a responsible party and until then we will pair up Officers in trucks and continue working to save animals lives. If anyone has any information about this incident please contact Richmond Police Department. Hoping today gets a little better --#weareyourcityshelter"

But what about repairs? How can we help out Richmond Animal Care & Control?!

"The repairs have to be done through the city (since the vehicles are city property), and subsequently come out of our budget. However, you can make a donation to our foundation that will offset what we have to spend that we can use for vet care -which is what we need most. Thank you!"
