The Great Richmond Trivia Bee (4/24)

April 3, 2019

"The Great Richmond Trivia Bee, #RVATriviaBee, sponsored by Union Bank & Trust, and benefiting The READ Center, is Richmond’s own live game show. It’s a team-based competition for people who love words, vocabulary, pop culture, history, literature and showing off how smart they are. It’s also a fundraiser for The READ Center, whose mission is to help adults with low-level literacy adults develop basic reading and communication skills so they can fulfill their roles as citizens, workers, and family members.

How does the game show work? The game is open to everyone who wants to participate on a team of three. The teams will be competing in the Trivia Bee, but audience members will have the opportunity to play along. The winning team will be awarded the Trivia Bee cup, and bragging rights, but everyone who attends wins in the knowledge that you helped a local adult improve his/her literacy skills.

The basic team registration fee is $500, and includes one Trivia Bee team of three, and acknowledgment in the event program. For additional sponsorship opportunities, visit our website. Trivia Bee audience tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or at the door. Audience members don't compete but can play along and enjoy the Trivia game. The team and volunteer reception begins at 6:00pm and the game runs from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

You can register online or print off the registration form and mail/e-mail it to The READ Center at 4915 Radford Avenue, Ste. 204, Richmond, VA 23230. Visit for registration links. Team space is limited, so register now to guarantee your spot!

Why should you participate? Trivia is fun, and everyone needs and deserves a literate life."
