Richmond is attempting to clear the animal shelters!

First off, the Richmond SPCA wanted to give you the five things to know before you commit to going to clear the shelters! Click here for more information!

Richmond Animal Care & Control

Richmond SPCA

For the fifth time, the Richmond SPCA will be participating in Clear the Shelters. The Richmond SPCA’s knowledgeable adoption counselors will be working very hard to match dozens of deserving pets with responsible, loving and lasting homes throughout the day. Historically, Clear the Shelters has been the local humane organization’s largest single day of adoptions, with 88 pets placed during the 2018 event.

Adoption fees will be waived for all approved adopters. All dogs must have a collar and a leash to go home, and all cats must leave in an appropriate carrier. The Richmond SPCA’s Lora Robins Gift Shop will have these items available for purchase.

The Richmond SPCA is full of wonderful pets of various shapes, sizes, ages and personalities, just waiting for a chance to become a person’s trusted and loyal companion.

And of course, there are so many other shelters that are participating as well! Thank you to NBC for taking part in this initiative!
