They're also providing recovery resources during COVID-19 in Richmond!

Before we dive into it, all of their updates and needs are on this page: https://www.caritasva.org/covid19-response/. They amend this page regularly.

Now, a few words from CARITAS:

"A few highlights:

- We are still serving people in need! We just can't use volunteers like we normally do, so we are relying more heavily on our staff and resources. Some of them are working long hours and are putting themselves at risk. We're increasing pay front-line staff members and extending PTO for anyone who can't safely work. We are also using cleaning supplies and personal protection equipment and much higher rates.

- We are accepting donations to help support this strain on our programs: www.caritasva.org/give-help/donate

- Along with our community partners, we have created opportunities to help serve meals to people sheltered in hotels during this time. Click here to learn more and sign up.

- Our partners in the GRCoC have worked with the City of Richmond to create a list of items you can donate to our program and others like ours in the area: gift cards for gas stations and food; cleaning supplies; disposable face masks; thermometers; canned food; and bus tickets. If you’re interested in donating, please contact Michael Rogers of Homeward at mrogers@homewardva.orgor via phone at 804-343-2045 x 22.

- People experiencing homelessness are encouraged call the Homeless Crisis Line at 804-972-0813 and Daily Planet Health Services at 804-783-2505.

Please let us know if we can help share any or all of these messages. I am here to help connect you to experts and leaders!"
