Everything Coming to and Leaving Netflix in May

With many stay-at-home orders extended through the month of May, there’s never been a better time to binge-watch all those shows or get lost in a good movie.

Netflix Originals continue to be a main draw for the streaming service with May adding Steve Carrell’s “Space Force,” a comedy based on the new military brand created by President Trump.

Ryan Muphy’s limited series “Hollywood,” set in a post-World War II Hollywood where aspiring actors and filmmakers do “almost anything” to succeed, is also a stand-out May offering. Season 2 of “Dead to Me” starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, will follow the friends as they try to cover up a murder.

Despite a huge focus on original content, Netflix knows that nostalgia is a huge draw and sometimes all you want to do is sit down to watch an oldie but a goodie.

A few movie titles will give you a “blast from the past” including 1994’s “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” starring Jim Carrey,” 1985’s “Back to the Future,” the first of the classic trilogy focused on Marty McFly, and the 1989 sequel, “Back to the Future II.”

Sadly, we’ll have to wait a little longer for the third installment to make its way to Netflix.

The original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" from the 70s will also be available along with the 2005 remake, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," starring Johnny Depp.
